Dear Tasty videos,

So, you probably don’t know me, and you probably never will. But the thing is, I know you, boy do I know you. I have spent hours procrastinating and watching your videos. Whenever I have a test coming up, I watch countless videos of people making random dessert and chicken recipes and it's just not healthy anymore. So for that reason, Tasty videos, I think we need to break up.

You deserve someone better than me. You deserve someone who is going to watch one of your videos and get so inspired that they drag themselves over to the grocery story, pick up all of the ingredients, and then go home and make that amazing meal that you taught them how to make. I am not that person. I just sit in my dorm room and watch your videos; some times I even share them! But the truth is, I’ll never make one of those meals. I’m really lazy and I know that that’s just too much work for me.

See, they always say if you love something let it go, and if returns it was meant to be. I really hope that is true, Tasty videos, because who knows where I’ll be a year, a month, maybe even a few days down the line. I might one day be studying at 2 a.m. and go watch videos even though were broken up. Tasty videos, what I’m trying to get at here is that I don’t know what the future will hold, one day I might even be adventurous enough to make one of your meals, but today is not that day.

Look, Tasty videos, it’s not you -- it’s me. Well, It’s kind of you. It’s more like I can’t keep watching your videos. Don’t be sad over this Tasty videos, you have millions of people watching your videos and there are plenty of fish in the sea. And maybe one of the millions can give you something that I never could. We're just on two very different paths of our lives right now. You’re making delicious videos for over 50,000,000 people. And me? Well, I’m just trying to pass all of my classes this semester. I think it would best for both of us if we take a break, at least until finals are over.

Sincerely,
Student going into finals week.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
