Reviews Of My 15 Favorite Taco Bell Menu Items

1. Doritos Locos Tacos

$1.49

$1.79 – Supreme

The inside of this taco is just an average Taco Bell taco. Tacobell.com lists the ingredients as seasoned beef, cheese and lettuce. However, for an extra 30 cents, I ALWAYS get the supreme. When a taco is supreme, tomatoes and reduced fat sour cream are added, which obviously makes the taco amazing. There are 3 options for shells: Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, and Fiery. The Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch taste just like the Dorito flavors, and Fiery was created specifically for Taco Bell. If you like spicy food, I definitely recommend the Fiery one, although they’re all equally good.

2. Quesarito

$2.49

A quesarito was a secret menu item at Taco Bell and Chipotle, that Taco Bell finally added to their menu. The quesarito is a regular quesadilla (tortilla with melted cheese) filled as if it was a burrito. It contains seasoned beef, creamy chipotle sauce, reduced fat sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, and Latin rice. I’ve only had it once, and it was really good. Any ingredient in any menu item can be substituted, including the meat.

3. Cantina

$3.79 – Burrito

$4.99 – Power Bowl

The cantina menu items are the closest thing to Chipotle on the Taco Bell menu. The burritos and bowls include reduced fat sour cream, cheese, guacamole, avocado ranch sauce, pico de gallo, romaine lettuce, and a meat of your choice (chicken, shredded chicken, or steak). The bowl also includes premium Latin rice and black beans. My mom eats extremely healthy, so if she ever gets Taco Bell (which is once a year at most), she gets the Cantina bowl without meat, beans, or rice. She basically just gets a salad.

4. XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

$3.99

Reduced fat sour cream, 3 cheese blend, guacamole, avocado ranch sauce, pico de gallo, premium Latin rice, beans, and a meat of your choice (chicken, shredded chicken, seasoned beef or steak). So basically, there is nothing not to like about it. I’ve been getting this burrito every time I’ve gone to TBell over the last three or four months.

5. Shredded Chicken Burrito

$1.69

The first time I tried this was an accident. A year or two ago, my dad ordered a shredded chicken burrito (which I had never heard of), and I ordered one of the Loaded Grillers. They are about the same size, so we accidentally took each others burritos. It was so good, that I’ve never gone to Taco Bell and not gotten a Shredded Chicken Burrito. It’s a little spicy, but it’s so amazing.

6. Loaded Grillers

$1.49

These little burritos are great if you’re not very hungry, or as a side dish. The Beefy Nacho Griller contains seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, and red strips. Red strips are crunchy, thin-sliced pieces of red-colored tortillas. I usually don’t order the Beefy Nacho Griller, because I always preferred the Grilled Stuft Nacho. The Loaded Potato Griller is really good if you like potatoes. It has potatoes (obviously), reduced fat sour cream, bacon, and nacho cheese sauce. I used to order this before I discovered the Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. I love the Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller. It’s so so so spicy and so so so good. It’s chicken, sour cream, and chipotle sauce.

7. Gordita / Chalupa

$2.59

Both contain reduced fat sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, 3 cheese blend, and your meat of choice. The only difference between the two is what holds the ingredients together. Both are shaped like a taco, but do not have a traditional taco shell. Both use a flatbread. The Gordita is like a Greek pita, and the Chalupa is the same thing, but deep fried. The Chalupa has a crispier shell. I prefer the Gordita, but both are really good. Also available is a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, which is a Hard-Shelled Ground Beef Taco placed inside of a Gordita shell with a layer of melted cheese between. Also, the Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch is available, which is the same but with a Doritos Locos Taco shell.

8. Crunchwrap Supreme

$2.99

I think that the Crunchwrap might be the most popular item on the menu, at least where I’m from. All of my friends love it! My suitemates order it with beans instead of meat because some of them are vegetarians, and they love it. The Crunchwrap includes reduced fat sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, nacho cheese sauce, and a meat of your choice. The Crunchwrap supreme uses both hard shell and soft shell, and is in the shape of a hexagon. Tacobell.com describes them as “crunchy, yet still soft and chewy somehow.”

9. Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes

$1.29

The Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes are my newest discovery from the menu. I’ll admit that I’ve only ordered them myself once, but my they’re all of my suitemate’s favorite TBell item. They are AMAZING, and I can’t imagine anyone not liking them. I don’t understand how something so simple can be this good. They are simply a bowl of seasoned, fried, cubed potatoes with sour cream and nacho cheese sauce on top.

10. Chips and Cheese

$1.39

Another simple yet tasty menu item. Chips and nacho cheese sauce. They’re really good.

11. Grilled Stuft Nacho

$1.49

One of my all time favorite menu items was discontinued, and then it recently came back for a limited time in May. Taco Bell described it as “Nacho flavors all wrapped up and grilled to perfection in the shape of a giant nacho chip, with seasoned beef, warm nacho cheese sauce, our new zesty nacho sauce, crunchy red strips, and cool reduced-fat sour cream.” It was an amazing, triangle shaped creation that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

12. Cinnabon / Cap'N Crunch Delights

$1.00 – 2 pack

$1.79 – 4 pack

$4.69 – 12 pack

The Cap’N Crunch Delights no longer exist, but they were really good, pink, deep fried balls of cereal that were stuffed with a "sweet cereal milk" icing. Even better than the Cap’N Crunch Delights are the Cinnabon Delights. If you like Cinnabon, or have any taste buds at all, you’ll love them. Tacobell.com described them as “cinnamon spheres filled with icing.” I describe them as heaven.

13. Starburst Strawberry Freeze

$1.99

I’m not a fan of this kind of stuff, but my sister really likes it. Tacobell.com describes it as “a pink, cute, and generally adorable drink.” I don’t like brain freezes, but my sister says the drink is great.

14. Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze

$1.99

Another thing I’m not a fan of, but everyone seems to love this drink. It tastes like the soda, but better. Plus, it gives you a nice brain freeze.

15. Brisk Mango Fiesta

Small fountain drink – $1.39

Medium fountain drink – $1.49

Large fountain drink – $1.69

This is the only fountain drink I like. I like mango, so it’s really good. It makes me happy.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
