The definition of a writer's block on Merriam Webster is "the problem of not being able to think of something to write about or not being able to finish writing a story, poem, etc."

Writer's block is something that I do not get often, but when I do, boy, it's a problem. And, dear reader, I am currently going through one, so that's an issue.

I either don't know what to write about and literally go through millions of ideas in my mind that do not sound as appealing/interesting as they should, or I start writing something I'm interested in or have a lot to say about and then -- bam -- it all goes away and then I can't think of anything. It's honestly such a frustrating thing, and you have absolutely no control over it.

I know many people on Wattpad, an awesome website (and app) that has millions of stories written by great, creative people, that go through many writer's blocks that eventually lead them to a short or an eternal hiatus.

I also know many people who even in college go through writer's block -- whether it's for their creative writing class, for an essay, or even while writing a research paper. Those are the worst. Those are the ones that involve tears and a lot of hair pulling, which can get even more frustrating if you don't have any hair to pull.

These are the five emotions that you tend to go through while having writer's block:

1. Misery

2. A bit of self-hatred

3. Anger

4. Anxiety

5. A lot of frustration

Because in the end, you know that regardless you need to be able to have something written down and not end up like Spongebob.

So if you have writer's block, do what I did just now: walk around; listen to music, talk to someone, and then try to write something. You'll be able to get somewhere even if it's not where you want to be.

Good luck!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
