Dr. Seuss once said, “Adults are just outdated children” and I think that is true.

Learn From The Kids...

What can we learn from kids?

So much!

First off, their love for life and adventure is infectious; even just looking at kids can make us happy because they are full of joy. Children are often pros at seeing the world through a positive and magical lens. Never afraid to explore their imagination and find fun in the little things, we can learn a lot from kids! Dr. Seuss once said, “Adults are just outdated children” and I think that is true. So, here is a list of ten pictures that will hopefully let you feel like a kid again, forget about your stress for a few minutes, and embrace the beautiful chaos of life!

1. Good Morning

Nothing is cuter than sleepy and cuddly kids! This child in particular is easy to relate to... waking up is hard! This picture makes embracing of the cozy life quite inviting though!

2. Best Seat in the House

We might not be able to sit on our Dad's shoulders anymore, but this little one can still remind us that we can lean on each other whenever needed. And wow, what a great photo capturing life's happiness.

3. Be the "Dancing Queen"

This kid has it figured out! Life is a great reason in itself to celebrate. So get up and dance!

4. Sing in the Shower

Even the simplest

moments in life can be fun, so remember to embrace the little things!

5. Call up your Friends

Laughter is the best medicine they say, and who can make you laugh more than some of your greatest friends! In college, we often live very far from friends. This can't stop you though from having a good time together!

6. The Surfer Boy

Those little legs might not be quite ready to hit the waves, but that little boy sure does appear ready for some fun adventure! Try something new and enjoy it!

7. The Painter

Channeling her artistic spirit this girl wears her art nicely! How could this photo not make you smile?

8. The Inventors

Sick of walking down the stairs? How about flying down in a new "space jet" or zooming down them in a "car"? As we grow, our creative imagination seems to be locked away, but sometimes it's okay to hold on to that playfulness!

9. Forever Friends

Remember when you'd exchange friendship bracelets, one half of the heart said "friends" and the other half said "forever". I always exchanged those with my sisters, and they were true- we will be friends forever. These kids above also know how to embrace friendship. Hands held together and feet up in the air, never forget the power of love within friendships!

10. Chill Out

All too often, we spend our time freaking out about every gritty detail in our days. This girl knows what life is about! As her shirt reads and her spirit speaks, "It's OK". And it is, really, OK. Life goes on and we're here for each other. So, let go of your worries and embrace life to it's fullest, like kids do!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
