An Honest Thank You Letter To My Best Friends

We all have those people in our lives that we call our BEST friends. These aren't just the people who you tell your biggest secrets to – these are the people who we talk with about what we had for lunch, or about the cutest shirt we bought today. Somehow, every facet of our lives seem to interest them, and they know how to make us feel special. No detail about your life is too small for them – they want to know it all.

These are the seemingly unordinary – but extraordinary – things I'd like to thank my best friends for:

Thank you for always being down to eat Mexican with me. If we really were what we ate, we would be chicken quesadillas and chips with queso.

Thank you for being as lazy as me. As much as we say we are going to run those two miles tomorrow, I know we are going to lay in bed and watch "Legally Blonde." And that's okay. At least we won't show each other up in our river pictures.

Thank you for going with me to town, to the store, or to visit my family. I know this wouldn't be near as possible if we didn't live a hop, skip, and a jump down the road from each other, but regardless, thanks for always being willing to get in the car with me and head out.

Thank you for knowing what I deserve, even when I don't. Somehow, you always know before me what guys are bad for me. It's like you have this built-in radar that detects guys who will end up hurting me.

Thank you for beach rides. Something about the beach at night calms us down. I guess it just runs in our coast blood to be in need of some fresh saltwater therapy every now and then.

Thank you for the "I got you this time, you can get me next time." You know, those times when I forget my wallet or you forgot yours; the times when we go to Taco Bell at three in the morning with other friends and we can only do two separate orders. We never have to worry about paying each other back, because we know down the line it will get repaid in some form.

Thanks for going in the store and bringing me out a Diet Coke. It really is the small things in life that are most appreciated, like having my favorite drink ready for me.

Thanks for having my back. Someone giving me the eye? I know it's the least I have to worry about with you. You're the first to defend me to ANYONE, even when I'm wrong. You brag about things that I've accomplished to other people and you know I do the same for you.

Life seriously wouldn't be the same without you. So, of course, thank you for keeping my secrets safe, and thank you for being my best friend on an everyday basis, not just on the weekends when we need something fun to do.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
