Being from Wisconsin and a die-hard Packers fan myself, it is easy to talk about football for days. Girls can be into the NFL too right? And when I say NFL, I do not mean National Fantasy League as some girls may think, I am talking about the National Football League here. I am here to give you an insight to how some of us girls see the National Football League.
Here it goes:
Hot. Men.
I say hot men because we all like to
look at the tight football pants on each guy. If any girl denies doing this,
she is straight up lying to you. Football players are no doubt attractive,
plus their salary and fame doesn’t hurt one bit. Another popular belief is that
the quarterback is usually the best looking on the team, am I right? Aaron
Rodgers anyone?
Sunday is Gameday.
Just like you
guys out there, us girls view Sundays (or Mondays, or Thursdays depending on when
your team is playing) as Gamedays. This means you will see us in our jerseys that
day (and the next after a victory). You will also find us watching the entire game
yelling until our throat hurts. After a game, my voice is raspy and it is
painful to talk, but these are just a few of the things you do for your team.
Just like guys, we go to social media to express our emotions. You will see that pregame tweet about how excited we are that our team is playing the next day. Then you’ll see the classic during game tweets. “WTF was that call?! #pissed” or “*insert quarterback’s name here* is so clutch #lovethem” Lastly, there are the after game tweets. If our team wins, you see a tweet about how much we love them and how they are the best. If our team loses, you’ll see a tweet on how the other team still sucks and how mad you are about the loss.
There are other aspects of the NFL that girls understand as well. We know the names of players, not just on our favorite team. We know more than just the quarterback on each team and the team’s record. Even though girls and guys are different, we do not view the NFL that differently at all. (Maybe just the hot men part.)
