10 Things Sorority Girls Love

After over three wonderful years as a fraternity gentleman, I have scientifically and systematically come up with a list of things that sorority girls love to do. These are not meant to offend or stereotype; they are just simple observations.

1. Instagramming pictures of their names on Starbucks cups. I don’t understand this. I understand that your double chai tea latte with soy and a double shot of espresso with two ice cubes is quite possibly your favorite #bae, but every day? Is this necessary?

2. Throw what they know with minor college celebrities.

3. Not be able to, even. For some reason, our lovely stereotypical sorority girls have this odd habit of not being able to even. Examples would be, “OMG, I just can’t even, right now.”

4. Instagramming pictures of their names spelled wrong on Starbucks cups. Starbucks workers are not highly paid professionals with your happiness in mind. They simply want you to answer and grab the beverage with, what resembles your name, on it. They really don’t care if they spell it wrong, and it’s probably not worth the Instagram.

5. Craft everything.

6. Being #Obsessed with their #Perfect littles. I don’t know if you all are actually obsessed, or if these impressionable young ladies are actually perfect, but according to social networks and any and all public settings, every single one of your babies are absolutely awesome!

7. Putting emoji’s next to a contact in their phone.

8. Suddenly falling in love with their parents after hating them through high school. I have a younger sister and I’m well aware that, for some reason, high school girls absolutely despise their parents. Then, at some point between high school graduation and freshman year, they realize that their mom is their idol and their dad is their rock, and them coming to visit is the best thing in the world. I guess I missed something.

9. Posing for classy sorority squat pictures in the trashiest of places.Let’s be honest, 90 percent of the cute squat pictures girls take have some incompetent idiot (me) in the background, trolling.

10. Climbing up on elevated surfaces. It's a rule of thumb that if you are in a party environment, the sorority girls will climb on the highest flat surface they can find, and will stand there. Whether it is a six-foot platform, a dance floor, the bottom rung of a barstool, or the back of a pickup truck, they will be there.

These are just casual, harmless observations that are in no way meant to offend readers. If you find them funny, follow me on Twitter @DontTreadOnMe93. If not, just keep it to yourself. Thanks.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
