5 Ways To Style Your Favorite Ugly Holiday Sweater

We all have that ugly sweater in our closet that's just dying to be worn. The problem is, you don't want to look frumpy while wearing it. It's supposed to look a little dorky, obviously, but you still want to look festive and stylish for every occasion to which you wear it.

Here are some ways you can incorporate your ugly sweater into a fashionable look:

1. Dutch Bros. coffee date.

For this look, you'll want to pick an ugly sweater that has a fun print for a conversation starter, but it's also slightly more flattering than say, your grandma's Christmas vest. You want to look cute, but not like you're trying too hard.

2. Family holiday party.

For your family's holiday party, the comfier and dorkier you look, the better. You'll be opening presents, sitting by the fire, playing games, eating a lot of food, and having a great time, so you don't want to worry about something too tight or uncomfortable.

3. Catching up on your Netflix queue.

If being at home, hanging out on your couch, and hibernating until next term is part of your plans after finals, then grab an ugly sweater hoodie and all your comfy essentials, a giant blanket, and get ready for a binge-watching marathon of shows to end them all.

4. Last-minute gift shopping.

When you're shopping with your girls, you want to look fashionable but also be super comfy. Bundle up in this sweater-skirt combo so you'll look chic while running frantically from store to store.

5. Post-finals house party.

Go for a Christmas sweater dress with a little humor when you're partying with your friends. Something fun, but still ridiculously cute, just in case you see your crush across the room and meet under the mistletoe.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
