10 Stages MSU Girls Will Go Through This Week Waiting on Tim Tebow's Arrival

Some Mississippi State fans might be disappointed that College Gameday will be in Oxford this weekend, but not the female students. The only thing on their mind is that Tim Tebow will be in Starkville.

10 Stages MSU Girls Will Go Through This Week Waiting on Tim Tebow's Arrival

The excitement of girls all over Starkville is tangible everywhere. Even with Bulldog Bash, a top fifteen game against Texas A&M and SEC Gameday coming to Starkville this weekend, if you ask most any girl, all she will talk about is how she cannot wait to see Tim Tebow. Girls will be thinking about this all week and about all the things they need to get done before the arrival of Tim Tebow. Here are the ten stages they will be going through this week:

1. Tweeting and discussing Tim Tebow’s imminent arrival on the Mississippi State Campus.

Girls will easily go to twitter to tweet silly tweets about the excitement and wanting to meet and see Tim Tebow. It will be the talk on the shuttles and in many conversations girls will have with each other this week.

2. Trying to decide if they should go to the tanning bed this week.

With the local tanning bed Sunsations having a three dollar tan all week long, girls will be hurrying to the tanning bed to get a little darker for Saturday’s game. I mean Tebow is from Florida, so he must like tan girls, right?

3. Fearing that a week in the tanning bed could cause skin cancer, or worse wrinkles, and thinking about a spray tan instead.

With spray tans being so popular and easy to do, many girls will be trying to get their fake bake on to impress Tebow with their beautiful and “naturally” bronzed (orange) skin.

4. Should I go buy a new outfit?

Maybe I should go to Deep South Pout or Libby Story. I’m sure none of my normal maroon outfits will look good enough. The perfect outfit will definitely make Tebow notice me over all these other girls.

5. Does that mean I need new shoes and accessories to go with it?

Yes, of course! I have thirty pairs of shoes and five necklaces that would look perfect with my killer new outfit, but wouldn’t it be much better to get new shoes and a new necklace that I have never worn to another game and in other pictures??

6. Maybe I should make a sign.

I mean people that make signs usually get seen. Should I put “Marry me Tebow?" Creative signs always get on the TV, and maybe he will notice if it is about him and come find me or point it out! I would just die.

7. Maybe I shouldn’t go to Bulldog Bash.

I mean do I even really know this Justin Moore? What does he sing again? I can party with my friends any weekend. How MUCH fun could this really be?

8. Okay, what if I just go for a little while?

I mean who misses Bulldog Bash? Everyone goes, and I want to see my friends; they would be so mad if I do not go. Yes, I will just go for a little while.

9. Maybe I should just not go to bed?

It is already three in the morning, it could be best just not to go to sleep. I cannot miss Tim Tebow. I mean when will he ever come to Starkville again? I will just stay up and get ready at seven - no big deal.

10. OMG! I think he saw me!

I mean, he could have. He hasn’t really looked back at any of us, but I have my sign, a nice tan and a new outfit. Surely he saw me, and maybe we can get a picture. Maybe it will be love at first sight! Or not, but who cares, I am in the same area as Tim Tebow, and I totally took that selfie with him in the background so we are practically BFFs anyway.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
