It can be overwhelming picking and choosing from an enormous amount of varying products, but it gets even trickier when you have to choose between purchasing from a drug or high-end store. The question today is, "Why spend $30+ on a product when you can probably find the same thing at Walgreens (which is right down Wisconsin Ave.), Target, or any drugstore for cheaper?" Here are five beauty products you need in your collection.

1. e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator

The great thing about e.l.f. products is that they range in price from $1 to $10. Now, that's cheap! This product is best when you have chapped, dry lips and to maintain those soft lips for when you want to apply lipstick. The e.l.f. lip exfoliator is a sweet sugar scrub infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape, and Jojoba Oils. This exfoliator is bound to get rid of any dead skin you may have on your lips. Did I mention that it smells heavenly and only costs $3? Let this product replace whatever chapstick you may have lying around in your purse.

2. Milani Baked Powder Blush

I can't even count the number of times I have been complimented on wearing this particular blush. There are nine colors to choose from and all of them are equally as beautiful. Each blush comes with its own brush to apply the product and a mirror. If you are looking for a new summer blush, I suggest you pick up this product from Walgreens for only $7.49.

3. Clean & Clear Gel Cleansing Facial Cleanser (Day & Night)

This product can be found at both Walgreens and Target. These two products are a great way to keep your face free of dirt and oil while also waking you up for the long day ahead or relaxing you for a restful night. Both the day & night time cleansers have a fruity scent. It may be all mental, but I do feel as though the "wake" and "relax" you effects the cleansers are supposed to have work 100%. Target used to sell these products in a duo pack for $10, but if you have to purchase them separately it would total $11 or so. Try one of them out and see if you like the results.

4. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

The cheapest and best mascara. Enough said. If you just ran out of your mascara and need to buy a new one, you can find this one at any drugstore. It leaves your lashes looking as if you are wearing falsies. I suggest curling your lashes prior to applying the mascara as well as after. The mascara brush is curved which allows you to better grip and curl your lashes.

5. NYX Butter Gloss

NYX Butter Gloss is a must in your beauty collection. Never have I ever seen a more pigmented drugstore gloss than this one. There are many colors to choose from from purple to pink. The summer is a perfect time to experiment with colors. Pick one up from Target for only $4.99 and paint the town.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
