The leaves start to change, the temperature starts to drop, and suddenly everything seems right in the world again. Why is this? That's because everything about the fall season changes and alters your day-to-day life for the better.
1. Weather.
As the seasons change, the temperature does the same. September, October, and November is when the temperature starts to drop to that beautiful weather in the 50’s and 60’s that restricts you from wearing just norts and a t-shirt every day like you have been for the last four months. It’s the kind of perfect weather that puts you in a good mood just by stepping outside.
2. Clothing.
Oversized sweaters, boots, scarfs, leggings, and even jeans are all along the lines of clothes that change with the season. I mean, who doesn’t want to curl up in blankets and sweaters on an October night? It's the time when you can wear all these things and be completely comfortable. It's not too hot out so you're not sweating just walking outside and it's not too cold to where you're shivering and shaking because you can't feel your body. It's just right.
3. Food.
Pie, cider, pumpkin, candy corn, caramel apples, all come into prime season with fall. It is also when the "basic" Pumpkin Spice Lattes arrive back at Starbucks (which are amazing) and the sweet cravings start to change from ice cream and popsicles to a warm piece of pie and a scorching hot latte.
4. Holidays
Do I even need to go into detail? Halloween, the one night per year where you can dress up as anything (well, almost anything) you want and celebrate with everyone who is doing the same. Then there is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday that gives you an excuse to starve yourself all day because you know you're going to be in a food coma come dinner time. It's the perfect time of year to make the transition from worrying about saving that "bikini bod" to forgetting about that theory and eating only comfort food.
It's about that time of year again so get ready to put away the bathing suits for the year and start finding the sweaters and leggings from the back of your closet.
