"Hear the words calling
Feel the wave form now, ride the foam,
See the world clearly now."
- Washed Out, Eyes Be Closed

The sweet sounds of summer – crickets, crashing waves, and chirping birds – are finally breaking the stark silence of winter. Sure, this natural music is conducive to relaxing, but let's take it up a notch and embellish our summer with Anthony Green's hand picked tunes that are adventure-inspiring and will urge you to maximize your limited sun-filled days.

Whether you're interning for your dream position or just lounging poolside, these jams are sure to pump up your summer and infuse the heat with a well-rounded mixtape that spans various genres and decades. As said perfectly in Washed Out's "Eyes Be Closed," see the world clearly this summer as you merely enjoy the foamy ride accompanied by these sure-to-please tracks.

Here are Anthony Green's, singer-songwriter and Circa Survive lead singer, go-to gems to amplify your summer.

Beirut – Elephant Gun

Washed Out – Eyes Be Closed

The Shins – Phantom Limb

Whirr – Ease

Red House Painters – Have You Forgotten

Other Lives – Black Tables

Bob Dylan – I Shall Be Released

Best Coast – California Nights

Maps and Atlases – Remote and Dark Years

D'Angelo – Really Love

S O H N – The Wheel

My Morning Jacket – Bermuda Highway

Father John Misty – True Affection

First Aid Kit – Emmylou

Brand New – Mene

Tigers Jaw – Slow Come On

The Anniversary – Without Panasos

Portugal. The Man – All My People

ANTEMASQUE – In the Lurch

Electric Light Orchestra – Strange Magic

Lifetime – Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey

So, there it is: Anthony Green's personal suggestions for your summer soundtrack. Release your built up angst over the school year with Brand New's "Mene" lyrics. Chill out with tracks like "All My People" by Portugal. The Man and "Elephant Gun" by Beirut. Embark on all your summertime endeavors with these tunes sifting through your eardrums.

Treat your ears and listen to the entire cohesive playlist here.

My personal addendum to this rockin' playlist would include Circa Survive's Only the Sun for an added dose of adrenaline to your summer excursions and Anthony Green's Anytime for relaxing on the beach. But, then again, your summer playlist should already include plenty of AG and Circa songs.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
