As college students, we're constantly looking for new Netflix material to distract us from studying and doing actual school work. However, sometimes we are forced to concede defeat when we can't find anything of interest. Fear no more! Here is a list of eleven shows that you can binge watch over and over again without getting bored!
1. "Bones"
This unique crime show has it all: gruesome crime scenes, semi-accurate medical science and forensic anthropology, and the FBI. Not to mention that it has the brilliance of Dr. Temperance Brennan and Agent Seeley Booth together as a team. The mixture of humor and intellect creates a daring show that one cannot help but watch. What's not to love?
2. "Skins"
First of all, it's set in the UK. This means that there are British/Scottish/Welsh accents galore. Which means that you should watch this show. These teens do everything that you wish that you could have at sixteen, while also being morbidly screwed up. It's similar to watching a car accident. You just can't look away. The characters are also switched out every two seasons, keeping the show new and interesting. You can watch it over and over.
3. "New Girl"
This is the second Deschanel sister on the list, with Emily being the star of "Bones" and Zooey being the star of "New Girl!" This adorably quirky show will reel you in before you know it. Full of surprises and humor, you'll want to re-watch every episode out of pure disbelief.
4. "Orange is the New Black"
If you haven't heard of this original Netflix series then you must have been living under a rock. Dramatic, and slightly twisted, "Orange Is The New Black" makes sure that you get emotionally attached to all of it's characters and then it proceeds to crush all of your hope for them being happy some day. Don't fret! Maybe after the third time that you watch it the ending will change.
5. "Glee"
Oh "Glee." How majestic you are. This FOX show is known for being centered toward those in high school, but I can assure you that I find it every bit as funny, dramatic, and soul-crushing as a college student. Plus, the catchy music doesn't hurt. We'll just pretend that the last two seasons didn't happen.
6. "Parks and Recreation"
What else do I need to say besides "Ron Swanson?" All of the characters bring a little something different to the table and the filming style keeps the show light and interesting. Every season changes so drastically that it is not difficult at all to go back and still laugh at every single joke.
7. "Supernatural"
Oh the angst. Plus, who doesn't love those Winchester brothers? Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have turned this supernatural (clearly) drama into a cultural phenomenon. It's no surprise that this show has such a big following. Thrilling, slightly scary, and utterly heart-wrenching, "Supernatural" will have you sobbing while simultaneously queuing up the next episode.
8. "Freaks and Geeks"
It may have only lasted for one season, but "Freaks and Geeks" will live forever in our hearts. We watch all of the characters go through their awkward phases in school, just trying to get by. Most of the cast has gone on to be A-List celebrities and this is John Francis Daley's second show on this list. We see him looking much more grown-up as the psychologist Dr. Lance Sweets on "Bones." If that doesn't draw you in, just look as Sam! He is just too cute! You can't help but get pulled in.
9. "Law and Order: SVU"
If you don't know about "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" yet, I don't think I can help you. The show has been around for as long as most people can be bothered to remember and is the very definition of a gripping crime show. Plus, the show stars the fabulous Mariska Hargitay. That's all you really need in life anyways.
10. "Sirens"
This comedy has hit new levels of amazing. Centered on a paramedic group in Chicago, it makes you want to move out to Illinois and dial 911. Unfortunately, this particular crew of funny men don't exist in really life, but we can always hope, right?
11. "Gilmore Girls"
This show was my childhood. It got me through my awkward middle school years with no problems. It's always nice to reflect and look back on Rory and Lorelei's slightly dysfunctional, but ever interesting, lives. Their lives were, and will forever be, goals. I would watch this show 24/7 if I didn't have to be a contributing member of society.
If you're ever out of Netflix material to put off studying for that quiz, or writing those three essay for your classes, just check back to this list. Who needs school when you have TV anyway?
