"Hail Wildwood Catholic, Hail white and blue. To you we're ever loyal and true." Every Wildwood Catholic student can remember the alma mater being sung at all occasions. You can catch Mrs. Schumann singing it proudly in the front of the auditorium. Wildwood Catholic is a place filled with memories and friendships. Whether it be your favorite teacher or your favorite sport, everyone has a great memory coming from the halls of Wildwood Catholic. It is a high school like no other. Crusader pride, always!

1. We Call Class Times "Mods" Instead of "Periods"

2. You Were Way Too Used To Eating Lunch At 10:30 AM

3. You Thought The School Uniform Sweaters Were Comfier Than They Should Be

4. You Are Constantly Convincing People That You Do In Fact Go To A Real School

5. When You Tell People Your Class Size, They Do Not Believe You

6. You Know We Are 100% A Basketball School. Everyone Looks Forward To Some Crusader's Basketball

7. Your Whole Day Was Thrown Off If Someone Took Your Parking Spot

8. You Never Know What Mod You Have First, Because The Schedule Is Constantly Changing.

9. You Always Had To Figure Out When The Bell Would Ring, Because The Clock In Your Classroom Was Never Right

10. You Fell Up Or Down The Steps At Least Once

11. Our School Is Small, But You Still Never Had Enough Time To Get From Class To Class In Three Minutes

12. When You Asked Mr. Watson To Go To The Bathroom You Always Awaited The Infamous "Hurry Up"

13. Kids From Other Schools Were Always Jealous That You Did Not Have Gym Class

14. When The Elevator Made A Weird Nose, And You Were Sure You Would Be Stuck In There Forever

15. A Hot Day Was Never A Good Thing, Because The School Has No Air Conditioning

16. Having Mass Was Always A Good Thing, Because You Would Go On X/Y Schedule

17. You Still Are Not Sure If Mr. Waters Was Real Or Just A Figment Of Your Imagination

18. You Were Always Asking "Can We Have Class Outside?"

19. You Know Mr. Wildwood Catholic Is The Highlight Of The Year

20. You Were Always Amazed At How Our Little School Put On Such An Elaborate Musical

21. Decorating The Hallways At Christmas Time Always Put You In The Spirit Of The Season

22. You Are Forever Grateful "Save Wildwood Catholic" Was A Success

23. You Love Wildwood Catholic, And Everything That Comes Along With It

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
