Boys,

It's that time of year once again, the time of year that girls are so worked up about, and you can't understand why. You're confused and bewildered as you scroll down Instagram and see numerous girls posting their Fall OOTD or latest Starbucks purchase. We don't expect you to completely understand, but here's a little insight on why we LOVE fall.

Here is what the word "Fall" means to us:

A Wardrobe Change.

Flannels are an all-time favorite. Keeping us warm, stylish, and comfortable, flannels are definitely a go-to style for girls. Pulling out our plaid and oversize clothing articles from the back of our closet brings us immense joy. We know you don't understand our addiction to flannels, combat boots, fleece leggings, knit infinity scarves, and Ugg boots, because we can't even begin to explain it ourselves. We just know they all mean one thing: fall.

Starbucks.

During fall, there are three words commonly heard at your local Starbucks drive through: Pumpkin Spice Latte. This drink, commonly known as the PSL, is fall's signature beverage. We wait all year for this delicious drink to be in season, so, of course, we splurge during the time it's available.

Dark Nails.

Fall means bringing out a little bit of our dark side, which means long, dark nails are completely appropriate. Since most of our outfits are darker during this season anyway (black on black on black on black), dark nails match perfectly and make us feel fierce in the process.

Fuzzy Socks.

Basically, we love our fuzzy socks, and we jump at the opportunity to break them out as soon as it gets chilly. We wear them while watching Netflix in our pj's, but you'll also see them under our combat boots. Look out for them.

Scents.

Pumpkin scents everywhere! Not to mention the seasonal fragrances and candles that come out at all our favorite stores.

Fall Pictures.

If you check out our Instagram, there will be at least two pictures of us at the pumpkin patch with our significant other or our gal pals. Fall presents the perfect opportunity to grab a big pumpkin, take a picture, and maybe or maybe not carve it later. As much as we love our own pumpkin pictures, we also go gaga over the engagement photos that seem to always come out during fall. These engagement photos make us want to FALL in love.

Halloween.

Halloween, the epitome of fall.

Much Love,

Girls.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
