Here it comes... the dreaded finals week. Now, we all know that Slim Shady is pretty good with words, so if we can't relate to it enough already, here are some Eminem song lyrics that are even more relatable when it comes to finals week.

1. Lose Yourself

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface, he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin'
What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's chokin', how, everybody's jokin' now
The clocks run out, times up, over, blaow!

But in all seriousness...how doesn't this apply to every college student before they take an exam? Knees weak from no sleep, arms heavy... again, from no sleep... and I literally forgot everything that I spent 4 hours studying the night before.

2. Stan

Dear (Professor) Mr. I'm-Too-Good-to-Call-or-Write-My-Fans
This'll be the last package (exam) I ever send your ass.

3. I'm Not Afraid

I'ma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony

Yes, I'm going to be what I set out to be... and tear down my professors' balcony because I know he isn't going to curve this exam.

4. The Way I Am

All this tension dispensing me, sentence is getting it
The stress has been eating me, recently
Off of this chest and I rest to get peacefully

Tension, stress, eating, you name it... I have it or do it. Except for anything peacefully.

5. Beautiful

I think I'm starting to lose my sense of humor
Everything's so tense and gloom

Yeah, these exams are kind of getting the best of me, I haven't slept since last Monday and my coffee is starting to taste like water.

6. Just Lose It

It's Friday and it's my day
Chance to party all the way to Sunday
Maybe 'til Monday, I dunno what day
Everyday's just a holiday

I think this pertains to college in general... I mean just because it's finals week doesn't mean I can't go out, right?

7. The Real Slim Shady

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

No, seriously... where is my professor and what are her office hours?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
