March Madness Results
The tri-philanthropy between Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta and Theta Chi took place March 6, the Tuesday evening before break. The philanthropy raised about $870 which will be divided between the two sororities. Thank you to everyone that helped contribute to the cause; it means a lot to us all and we know our philanthropic organizations will really appreciate it! There were a total of 45 teams divided between four girls teams and 41 mens teams--the final game was played at approximately 9:30 pm in Bohler Gym between Pi Kappa Alpha and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. After being a Gamma Phi for three years now, I can honestly say the excitement in the gym was like nothing before. Many competitors and watchful “captains” stayed behind to watch the final games unfold and see Alpha Phi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon take home the title! For the fraternity men, sorority women and other generous players, the members of Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, and Theta Chi really appreciate your participation and enthusiasm throughout the event. It made the philanthropy more fun for everyone that was involved. For the philanthropy chairs: Olivia Rodriguez, Sarah Vincent, Michael Sly, Jason McCarthy, Emily Aufrecht, and Abby Wojtanowicz, I think we all owe you a huge "Thank you!" for the hard work you put into the philanthropy! You made our nights and everything turned out great! I’m sure we all look forward for next year’s tournament and working together as a power group for the March Madness 3 vs. 3 Tournament. For the individuals that did not have the opportunity to participate, plan accordingly for next year; we look forward to seeing you there!
