Auburn Bucket List

Five years ago, the movie The Bucket List premiered. The movie is about two men who were terminally ill and had a to-do list they wanted to complete before they died. This movie sparked an interest, and immediately people began to make their own bucket lists.

After spending four years on this campus, I have realized  there are so many things every Auburn student should come in contact with before they graduate. Below is a list of some of these many experiences.

Visit the Eagle's Nest. This spot is located atop the roof of the Haley Center, directly in the middle of campus and is often visited by students touring the university. This location offers a spectacular view of our beautiful campus.

Go into Samford Hall. When I think of Auburn, I immediately picture Samford Hall. This building is one of the oldest buildings on campus and is the staple building of Auburn University. Although the interior has been renovated, inside is historic memorabilia that spans the entirety of the university.

Attend a Greek formal. A fun aspect of being Greek is being able to attend formals. Who doesn't like to get dressed up and go out with friends? The best part is traveling out of town, having great entertainment, and not to mention, hundreds of your friends being there with you.

Take your picture in front of the Auburn University sign. Like most people in Auburn, I always see people having their picture taken in front of the Auburn University sign next to Samford Lawn. Although you may not appreciate it now, later in life it will remind you of your college days and is sure to be a sentiment.

Attend the Iron Bowl and sit in the student section. The Iron Bowl is one of the largest college football rivalries in the nation. Add that to the atmosphere that is in the Auburn student section on game day and you are sure to have a great time. Besides, what Auburn fan doesn't want to watch us beat Bama?

Spend an evening at Supper Club. The War Eagle Supper Club has a tremendous reputation in Auburn, and also nationally, for being one of the best bars. Only open on the weekend, Supper Club regularly schedules Auburn students' favorite bands and is sure to live up to their expectations and reputation.

Go to an away game. Traveling, friends and Auburn football. Sounds like the perfect weekend. Along with these, put in the fact of being in a completely new atmosphere surrounded by the Auburn family and cheering your Tigers onto victory; a great weekend indeed.

Rodeo. If you go to Auburn, you have to go to Rodeo. Held every spring by the Alpha Psi Fraternity, this philanthropy event is easily the most popular event held in Auburn. Ask any student and they have probably attended and cannot wait for April to arrive so they can go again.

Roll Toomer's. With the threat of possibly having new trees in years to come, rolling the current trees after an Auburn victory is a tradition especially important for every Auburn student to take a part in.

As a senior in college, I have had many experiences on this campus. Each of these has added to my college career and has given me memories I will have for a lifetime. Have fun completing your own bucket list!
