'Philanthwompy'
After a long week of classes most of us cannot wait for the weekend. We ask the big question of where we should go out for the night. Kams or Red Lion? We usually never switch it up and it becomes a routine. However, I have a great option for this upcoming weekend and it is one that will make you feel good about yourself. 'Philanthwompy' is a music benefit event hosted by Positive Vib8ions and Milk N’ Cookies. All the proceeds benefit Crisis Nursery and the Special Olympics. 'Philanthwompy' will be held on January 29th at The Canopy Club. This will be a two-part event. During the day, there will be a “Bags” tournament with prizes. Later at night starting at 10pm, the fun beings with local artists like DJ Belly, DJ Spydey, DJ Marshmello, Milk N Cookies, Pos Vibes, Tigorilla, Beeson Brothers, DJ Kosmo, and DJ Sol playing forms of electronic, house, and dubstep music. This is a great event to consider attending. The tickets are only 10 dollars. We usually have to spend money for cover anyways but here you will be donating to giving organizations like Crisis Nursery. They are an organization committed to creating an "Island of Safety" dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing emergency assistance to parents. It would be great to get your house involved and make it a philanthropy event. Come with a group of people and have a different night out that is giving yet fun with good music.
