'Twas the Night Before Stop Day
'Twas the night before Stop Day, and through ol' Mizzou, All the creatures were stirring, there's so much to do. The stockings weren't hung yet, the mantle still bare. Instead plans of parties, celebrations filled the air. "What to do tonight?" The questions lingers, Many options to count, on only five fingers. The girls are preparing, makeup and hair spray, The guys, they are too, with Polo and Sperry. On Greek Town! On Harpo's! On Bengals tonight! On Shiloh! On Fieldhouse! On Tonic? We might? We'll party so hard, it will get quite redundant. We'll see so many, face time quite abundant. The night nears the end, to everyone's shock. The bartender screams, "We're Closed - 1 o'clock!" We flood to the streets, after hearing this yell, On Diner! On Rancho! On great Taco Bell! Arrive at "The Ranch," stomach in ache. The golden question is: Chicken or Steak? After the feast, the party goes on. Until the morn, up comes the dawn "Reading Day" it is called, this title implies. That studying will be done, by all girls and guys The preferred activity, contrary to this Is sleeping for hours, in comfy bed bliss With memories from before, sometimes bringing fright. Happy Stop Day to all, it was a great night!
