College Game Day Dip
In honor of my family’s Super Bowl party, my mother decided to make her famous Game Day Party dip. Essentially it’s a buffalo flavor chicken dip. I’m not big on dips and sauces but this happens to be one of my favorite dishes. It’s really great for any occasion. We’ve brought it out for graduation parties, potlucks, game days, and family reunions! It’s easy to make and only takes about 20 minutes to bake with a five minute prep time! Before you start, you’ll need two cans of Hormel chicken breast (I used the “in water” kind), two eight-ounce packages of softened cream cheese, ranch salad dressing, hot wing sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and crackers or tortilla chips for dipping. I’m sure any brand for each ingredient will do, but I do recommend using Hormel for your chicken! Begin by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Then in a large bowl, combine the two eight-ounce packages of cream cheese, one cup of the Ranch salad dressing, three-fourths cup of your hot wing sauce, and 1 three-fourths cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Gently stir in the chicken. Then spoon the mixture into a two-quart casserole dish and bake for about 20 minutes or until the dip looks hot and bubbly. Serve with your favorite crackers or chips! This dip is so easy to make and you’ll love it. This recipe makes about six cups so there’s plenty for everyone! Maybe test it out for the next time your whole sorority or fraternity decide to get together or for a snack after classes! Have fun trying it and enjoy.
