Thank You Walt Disney

Thank You Walt Disney

Walter Elias Disney,

I wish you were here today so that I could thank you for all of the joy and wonders you have brought me. The creativity and imagination that you brought to this world are one of a kind. Disney takes me to another world when I wish to escape this one. You gave me, and the rest of the world, somewhere that is unlike any other. Disney is a place and a company where dreams come true. Without it, the world would be a much crueler place. Imaginations wouldn't run wild and free without all of the lives Disney allows us to vicariously live through.

You created something that will live on forever. Something that reminds adults that it is OK to still be kids and it allows kids to let their imaginations soar.

Many people went into creating the wonderful world of Disney, but the idea had to start somewhere. Thank you for that idea.

Thank you for creating a place where magic is always in the air.

Thank you for creating a place where everyone wears a smile.

Thank you for believing in magic in the first place.

Thank you for Mickey Mouse. He truly is the greatest boss around.

Thank you for creating a company that strives to do its best.

Thank you for living on through all of the spirit and magic that flows through Disney.

Thank you for giving me a place I call home, a place where I can be myself.

Thank you for my happy place.

It is hard to put into words everything that Disney has given me and how thankful I truly am for it. It is just a feeling that words cannot describe. The feeling begins with adrenaline the moment you are walking into the park. It continues to put butterflies in your stomach until the butterflies flow out your eyes as happy tears and your heart flutters. You feel as though you have been covered in pixie dust as you fly through the park trying to see it all.

From Oswald to Mickey Mouse to Snow White to Elsa and Anna, there is something special about every character. There is a little piece of magic in each character that is unlike any other. Not only do the parks bring happiness to guests, but the movies do too. Whether it is Pixar or fairy tales, Disney has something for everyone.

I wish you were here today to experience all the magic and wonder that I do.

Without you, Walt Disney, I would not have all things Disney that I have today. So, thank you. Thank you for every single up and down you went through in order to achieve your dreams and reminding me not to give up on my own.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
