As I lay in bed for the first time today, I think about the next time I will be able to snuggle up underneath my blankets and rest my head on my fluffy pillow. But I have just woken up, and about to leave the warmth and coziness that is my bed.
All throughout classes, and work, I can only think about my head being reunited with my pillow. Some people use meditation to relax... I prefer to lie horizontal to catch some extra z's. To me, there is no greater feeling than when your eyes start to flutter asleep.
But naps aren't necessarily always needing to be in a sleeping state. Any professional napper knows there are certain degrees to a nap. The light nap is like taking a time out for a breather; you can close your eyes and take deep breaths while remaining in the game. While on the other hand, we have the 20 minute power nap to keep you on top of your game.
But the best naps are when you wake up feeling rested. You don't know whether 20 minutes, 1 hour or 5 hours have passed, but all you know is that you got some good sleep.
