College Life As Told By Harry Potter

Your entire world changes the day you get your acceptance letter.

This is it – the time has finally come for you leave home and enter the magical world of college.

You will experience a countless number of introductions throughout your four years.

But soon enough, you will find your niche.

You will discover some of the best people you will ever meet.

And some of the worst.

After first semester, you realize you made the best decision and never want to leave.

You will learn many life lessons throughout your four years and realize the significance of your choices.

Finals season will test you in ways you never knew to be possible.

Care packages and letters will bring you an indescribable amount of joy.

You will discover that the freshman 15 is not a choice, but a reality.

Having the ability to choose classes that interest you makes school a lot more interesting.

Throughout your college experience you will go out way too much.

Seriously, you really will go out waaay too much.

As a result, you will experience the worst of the worst hangovers.

You will have the opportunity to go outside of your comfort zone.

And more than likely have few alcohol related regrets.

You will meet some of the best friends you will ever have.

You will get into trouble.

Understand the true horrors of finals week.

Get your heart broken.

Probably endure the mortifying experience of waking up somewhere unknown.

Have professors you will hate.

And ones you will love.

Be forced to face your GPA at the end of every semester.

Understand the true significance of sporting events.

Inevitably beg your parents to let you stay longer, despite their constant refusals.

Discover that time really does move faster the older you become.

And although students come from different cities, states, and countries around the world, you will meet and learn from people that you will never forget.

With friends that will last a lifetime.

Because even when you get homesick or if you ever feel alone

College will teach you the true meaning of "family is forever."

And you will make memories that will last a lifetime.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
