"How I Met Your Mother" is known for its fun characters with very distinct personality traits. Each character is unique in their own way, and when all the characters are combined the show comes together in a great way. Ohio colleges are the same way; each college is different and has different perceptions and stereotypes, but they all are great as a whole. If "How I Met Your Mother" characters represented Ohio colleges, here's how it would go down:

Ted would be Case Western Reserve University.

Ted is very wise and has a variety of intellectual interests. He enjoys conversations about art, culture, and the finer things in life. He may come off as slightly pretentious, but he knows better than to apologize for his intelligence. He embraces the fact that he is smart, classy, and cultured, so he would thrive in Ohio's center of art and culture. Born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Ted considers himself a proud Clevelander. His heart belongs in the 216, so both the location and community at CWRU make it identical to Ted Mosby.

Robin would be The Ohio State University.

Robin works hard and excels at just about everything she does. She is passionate about athletics and is always there to cheer on her favorite team. Although she's smart and driven, she's not afraid to cut loose and have fun. She is a diehard sports fan, and her ideal day involves watching the game and drinking a beer (or scotch). She's proud of where she's from, as are all Buckeyes. Robin may be from Canada, but her behavior and attitude make her a Buckeye at heart.

Marshall would be Ohio University.

Marshall is a very laid-back, respectable guy. He is kind to everyone he meets and is happy all the time. He is the definition of the word "chill," and he's always down for a good time. Not only is he a proud Midwesterner, he was also raised in a small town and enjoys the atmosphere that comes from a close-knit community. He may party a bit harder than he should sometimes, but he always has the best time and has no regrets. Marshall is all about good vibes, good friends, and a good time, and so are Bobcats.

Lily would be The Cleveland Institute of Art.

Lily is passionate about artwork in general, especially painting. She is as creative as they come, and she thrives in an environment that allows her to express her creativity. All she needs to be truly happy is a canvas and a paintbrush.

Barney would be Miami University.

Barney cares about three main things: clothes, money, and getting laid. He is always dressed to impress, and he wouldn't dare be seen wearing anything less than perfect. He is quite wealthy, although nobody really knows how he has so much money. You can always find him at the nearest bar trying to pick up attractive women. He likes to have a good time and look good doing it. Barney wouldn't be caught dead in cargo shorts, and neither would a Miami boy.

Zoey would be Oberlin College.

Zoey is always out protesting for some cause. She fights a good fight, and she always stands for what she believes in — whether or not it's important to others. She doesn't care if other people make fun of her for protesting a cause that seems unimportant; she'll march right back out there and continue to fight for what she thinks is right.

Stella would be University of Cincinnati.

Stella is a catch, and you bet she knows that. Just like the "Hottest College in America," she's great at basically everything. Cincinnati students say that where they go to school is "basically Kentucky," while Stella claims that her New Jersey residence is "basically New York." She has the confidence and charm of a Bearcat (even though she doesn't really know what state she's from).

Last (and certainly least), Patrice would be University of Michigan.

Of course this isn't an Ohio college, but what Ohioan doesn't make fun of Michigan at every chance they get? Patrice is pretty obnoxious, and there are very few people who actually like her. Everyone is annoyed by her presence, especially Robin. There's a reason why she isn't a very important character.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
