The Unwritten Rules Of Instagram

Because we all know these are the rules we abide by.

The Unwritten Rules Of Instagram

We can all agree on one thing: we spend way too much time on Instagram. And for that matter, it's important to know the do's and don'ts of Instagram.

1. One photo per day, please.

I will only like one of your pictures, so if you double, or even worse, triple Instagram in one day, you can assure yourself you aren't getting my likes. You may be important, but not that important to get all those likes.

2. Know the days of the week.

You got your Selfie Sunday, Man Crush Monday, Transformation Tuesday, Woman Crush Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Flashback Friday, and Saturday—well, those are usually the drunk pictures you don't recall posting.

3. Likes for likes, always.

If I am continually liking your pictures and am receiving no love in return, you best believe I will be unfollowing you.

4. Filters and editing are crucial.

Make sure you use a filter but don't overdo it. If you look as orange as an Oompa Loompa, it's obvious you really jacked up the saturation on that picture.

5. Hashtags.

We all love the hashtags, but just don't overdo it. #knowyourlimit

6. Caption game on point.

You better have a killer caption. if you can't think of even a semi-fitting caption, then I can't think of a valid reason to like your picture.

7. Refrain from the collages.

Picstitch was so 2012—at all costs please attempt to not post a collage of a bunch of pictures you can't even really distinguish between.

8. Always remain Instagram active.

If you only post two photos a year, are you even worthy of being called an Instagrammer? People like you shouldn't even be allowed access into their account after so many weeks apart from it.

9. Be a careful creeper.

If you're going to be 68 weeks deep into someone's profile, you better be extra careful of that liking finger. Try explaining that mishap to the person the next time you run into them. #awkward

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
