14 Reasons Why You Should Consider Greek Life

1. Parties

When it comes to parties I personally believe that Greek is the way to go. You basically will have parties every weekend. Also, there will always be fun themed parties that you wouldn't have if you weren't in a Frat/Sorority. We really know how to party.

2. Friends

The friends that you will find are going to be a really important part of your life they will become your family. One that shares the same taste, hobbies, and interest as you. And PLEASE forget about that “paying for friendship" haters' quote. We only pay for our activities, parties, housing, and food just like everybody else.

3. Girls

We all know Sorority girls are HOT. Plus you will always have formals where you need to bring a date. Pretty much you have a pretty good excuse to invite that girl you are really attracted to, to your Formal, or in the best scenario to a nice weekend on the beach.

4. Tailgates.

If you don't go to a Greek tailgate while in college, I am really sorry for you. When it comes to support our colors we go crazy about it. I assure you, they are the loudest, biggest, most fun tailgates in the whole campus.

5. Holidays.

The way the Greeks celebrates holidays like St. Patrick's Day, and the fourth of July will make you wait those dates like your birthday

6. Philanthropy.

You will actually do something good for the world. It might be helping a sick child, or raising funds to a big foundation. But the thing is that you will do it and feel good about it.

7. Always companion.

Being on a house with regularly more than 50 people you will always have a person to go to the gym with, to play some golf, or just to go for a run.

8. Never get bored.

You will never get bored you will always find something to do. Or will suddenly receive a text asking if you wanna hit the gym, go to a concert, or just go to a bar for drinks.

9. Reasons to celebrate.

There is always a good reason to celebrate. If is not one of your brother's /sister's birthday, some other just got accepted to Grad School. So keep calm and get ready to celebrate your ass off.

10. Food.

Depending on the frat/sorority you could have a chef on your house, that most of the time cooks pretty good so just forget about meal plans.

11. Studying gets easier.

There is always that one person who already took that one class with that specific instructor. Having their notes, material, and homework would make it much easier. Don't you think?

12. Activities.

Being on a Frat or Sorority involves a lot of cool activities and trips you wouldn't wanna miss. Also there's always sport tournaments that will keep you active and in shape.

13. Experience.

Being in a Fraternity/Sorority would definitely be one of the best experience of your life. There will be moments, anecdotes, and memories that you will never forget. And you will absolutely have some great stories to tell.

14. Networking.

After all the fun is over you will still have your benefits. You are now part of a nation wide organization with thousands of relatives out there that would be willing to help you.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
