After a wild Friday night of one or five too many drinks, Saturday brunch is absolutely crucial. The morning-after hangover is screaming at us to get up and get food ASAP. But what do we eat? Where do we go? Trust me when I tell you, these local foods are the best cure and will leave you feeling well and ready to rally for Super Saturday.
Breakfast Wrap- Amami
Lewisburg's hottest new breakfast shop makes the dopest breakfast wrap. Eggs, provolone, roasted potatoes, sriracha mayo, and any meat you want all wrapped up into one delicious and spicy sandwich.
Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- Street of Shops Restaurant
Holy sticky sweetness. If you have not tried this specialty pancake then you have not lived the true Bucknell hangover life. It's your average buttermilk pancake but with cinnamon-swirl and brown sugar baked in, making syrup totally unnecessary.
The Laundry Pile - Zelda's Café
A big sloppy mess of breakfast potatoes, bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, eggs, and guac all thrown together to form the ultimate and supreme hangover godsend.
Nova Lox- Pronto Provisions
Bagels are a hangover essential. When you get one with cream cheese, lox, capers, and onions, that's just next level. They will even press it down panini style so it's nice and toasted.
Huevos Rancheros- Cherry Alley Café
Quesadillas for breakfast? Yes. Throw some over-easy eggs, black bean salsa, and sour cream on top and you've got an authentic brunch fiesta. Basically Chipotle- breakfast style.
Brioche French Toast Platter- Perkins
Something about thick-cut brioche makes this French toast sound so much fancier. Make sure to add a side giant muffin, bacon, sausage, and eggs because it's Perkins and you can do that.
Large Ice Water- Dunkin' Donuts
This is obviously not a meal but if you go to Bucknell and have ever been hungover, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about when I say this water is like no other. No one knows how or why, but Dunkin's ice water is straight from the refreshment heavens.
