5 Reasons You Should Wait for Your Jim Halpert

I always believed that there was no such thing as the perfect guy. This held true...until the day I was introduced to Jim Halpert from The Office.  He was funny, smart, caring and most importantly, devotedly in love with Pam.  We followed his love for Pam and as much as we enjoyed seeing them together, we felt a ping of jealousy that he wasn't crazy for us instead.

Even though we can't have Jim, every girl deserves a guy with the same qualities.  So if you haven't seen the show or it's not already obvious, heres the reasons why:

1. Jim loved Pam when it would have been easier not to.

Whether Pam was engaged or at art school, Jim waited for Pam and loved her regardless. Even after being rejected and trying to move on, he held on to hope for their future together.

2. Jim defended Pam no matter what.

When Dwight, her fiance or anyone else insulted or talked poorly about Pam, Jim came to her rescue.  He was always focused on making sure she knew her value.

3. Jim appreciated Pam's looks but loved her for her personality.

Of course Pam is beautiful, but its always clear that Jim cares about much more than her looks.  Jim's girlfriend's are always very attractive, but he never loves them as much as he loves Pam. Jim is always attracted to Pam for her laughter, sense of humor and the fun they have when their together.

4. Jim always reminded Pam how much he loved her.

No matter what time of day it was or who was around, Jim was never afraid to show Pam how much he loved her. Whether he surprised her with a kiss or just told her how much she meant to him. He was always confident that they were meant for each other and never looked back or had doubts about their relationship.

5. Jim can always make Pam laugh.

There wasn't a moment they weren't laughing together, even on their hardest days. He knew how to keep her smiling when things weren't great or when she just had a rough day.

So next time you're looking for a guy, check your friend zone and maybe you'll be lucky enough to find your very own Jim Halpert.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
