7 Instagram Captions We All Know And Love (A Little Too Much)

Chances are your go-to Instagram caption has, alas, become a cliché. Here you’ll find how these seven phrases have been brutally abused over the last year and why I am here to say, "Enough!" We all do it.  So let's vow to let these captions die peacefully. We owe it to them.

1. “Game day with this guy!”
Is he a stranger? Or is it he is so unworthy that you cannot call him by his name?  Which is it? Neither? Then why do you keep using it? Until you can answer each of these questions thoroughly you should not use this as a caption. Odds are that will be never.

2. “Plot twist!”
According to Oxford Dictionaries, the definition of a plot twist is “an unexpected development in a book, film, television program, etc.” Therefore, leaving town for the weekend or going out on a weekday, does not make a plot twist.

3.“My ride or die.”
Unless after taking this picture you and your friend put on matching leather jackets, hopped on a Harley, and rode off into the sunset, this caption makes zero sense.

4. “Can’t wait to marry my best friend!”
Well of course he/she is your best friend, would you marry an acquaintance?  How are you going to plan a wedding if you can’t come up with a more unique Instagram caption?

5. “Couldn’t do life without you!”
You’re right! You can’t do life without them! In fact, you can’t DO life with anyone; however, you can LIVE your life with or without whomever you choose.

6.  “Beach lovin’”
I don’t know who coined this phrase but, for their sake, I hope I never meet them. What goes through ones mind when choosing “lovin’” as an adjective?

7. “Last formal, best formal!”
Seniors this one goes out to you. Maybe it was your best formal of college and also happened to be your last, but this caption was over after the first person used it, whoever he/she was. You’re a senior, you should know better.

Suppose you’re now heartbroken after discovering your favorite caption is now a has-been. Fret not because Instagram’s recent upgrade FINALLY gives us the option to edit our captions. Joy to the world!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
