Why Demi Lovato Will Always Be the Real MVP of Celebrity Role Models

I have been a fan of Demi Lovato since I saw her perform with the Jonas Brothers in 2007. She is an amazing role model for all girls and women. She teaches women (and men) so many important life lessons. She has been the most open and honest celebrity I have ever seen. I love Demi Lovato and all she stands for. I am now and forever will be a "Lovatic" and here is why.

Come on, how can you not love someone who started on Barney?

She's adorable.

Her life MOTTO.

"You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That's my life motto," she told Seventeen magazine.

She isn't afraid to go natural.

She encourages her fans to embrace their natural beauty as well. She encourages natural beauty and asks her fans to participate in make-up free Monday with her.

She joined the Marriage Equality campaign.

"Demi Lovato is an amazing role model for today's youth, both LGBT and non-LGBT," NYC Pride spokesperson Patti Diluigi said.

She's always got her sister's back.

Demi is always there to stand up for anyone in need, but she has made it clear if you wanna mess with her younger sister your gonna have to go through her first.

She doesn't let fame or fortune go to her head.

According to NetWorthHQ, Demi Lovato's estimated worth is 20 million dollars a year. Regardless of that, on her 16th birthday she celebrated with family and friends at Applebee's.

She came up with a way to reach all her fans personally.

Published an amazing inspiring book titled Stay Strong for fans she can't personally tell to stay strong in life.

From a very young age, she has been ambitious.

In 2000 to 2001, she was Mini Miss Texas. I MEAN THAT'S JUST ADORABLE.

She always aimed high.

The first time she performed was at a kindergarten talent show where she sang "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion.

Very persistent.

Learned how to do her own lip liner at age seven.

She is pretty normal.

She is just like every other teenage girl said to be able to quote every line from Mean Girls. She's just like us.

She is such a giver.

On her 18th birthday, she bought her family a Mediterranean style house, saying that giving to her loved ones is the best gift of all!

What a go-getter.

While on a world tour and filming with Disney, she was able to take schooling online and actually graduate from high school a year earlier than expected.

She takes a stand against bullying.

In 2012, she became the new ambassador for Secret's "Mean Stinks" campaign, encouraging girls to "gang up for good," to end bullying in schools.

She is a Leo.

The Leo is always willing to give and help others. They are cheerful and positive. They will be the first in line to help you through a hard time. The Leo's personality is full of charm. This perfectly describes Demi.

She is very entrepreneurial.

At the young age of 22, she has her own skin care line, hair extension line, published a book and so much more.

Started a scholarship program.

The Lovato Treatment Scholarship program started in honor of her father passing from untreated mental illness.

What a professional.

Can go through a very public break-up (with Joe Jonas) and be a big girl and still perform with him every night on tour. Now that's what I call being a professional.

Helps people find their voice.

She encourages everyone to recognize their mental health issues and she acknowledges her Bi-Polar disorder and speaks out about it.

She can be pretty weird sometimes.

She admits to have written songs while on the toilet.

Not a selfish bone in her body.

She spent her 21st birthday volunteering in Kenya.

Has her priorities in order.

She knows her health is more important than a starring role on TV. She gave up the lead role in Sonny with a Chance when she knew she had to get help for her personal issues.

She is so down to earth.

Out of all the extravagant places she has traveled to, she says that Kenya is her favorite place in the world.

She can rock literally any hair color under the rainbow.

She has been a brunette, a blonde and a rainbow and looks fabulous however she wears her hair.

She is proud of her flaws.

A woman who flaunts her scars (emotionally or physically) is a beautifully brave woman.

She has faith.

Believes God can get her through anything. When life is getting her down she believes God has a plan for her and she has faith she will go in the right direction with his help.

She has meaningful tattoos.

She has tattoos that mean something and inspire everyone. Her favorite tattoo is the one she has on her rib cage that says, "You make me beautiful" followed by Roman numerals of the birthdays of the people to whom she is closest.

Diversity has "X"panded her horizons.

She's not afraid to give new things a try, including judging on X-Factor.

She isn't afraid to ask for help.

This girl isn't afraid to speak up and ask for help. Unlike most celebs, she took action before it was too late and by her own free will checked herself into rehab.

She has no shame in doing what she loves.

Just like most young ladies, she loves taking selfies.

She loves herself as she is.

She encourages women to love their bodes whatever type it may be. Flaunt it and never be ashamed of your body is what she has taught me.

Even the President of the United States loves Demi!

President Barack Obama is a "Lovatic."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
