Last Friday, Nov. 13 was World Kindness Day. That's not what people are going to remember this year. To everyone in Paris (including our own, Anastasia, who is there with other Arcadia students for study abroad), our thoughts are with you. To everyone in Japan, Beirut, Mexico, and Baghdad--to everyone anywhere who is suffering, or grappling with loss--our thoughts are with you.
Katie writes this week about, "Looking Past the Bad to Find the Good," remembering and holding onto the small joys that can get forgotten or blocked out during disasters both personal and international. It's not easy advice to follow but it's great advice to live by, especially in the days and weeks ahead, where remembering the little things is more important than ever.
