Greenville, South Carolina, is without a doubt one of the coolest cities in the entire country. Forbes recently ranked it in the top 15 best places to live for young adults. And the reasons why Greenville is in the top 15 are no secret. From fun recreation activities to delicious food, Greenville has it all! If you have lived in Greenville for any time at all, you’ll be able to relate to these 20 signs you are from Greenville.

1. You have walked across the Liberty Bridge countless times.

2. You know all about the chaos that is Woodruff Road traffic.

3. You grew up going on field trips to The Peace Center and Roper Mountain Science Center.

4. You remember when Kiko was born.

5. You've run, walked, biked, or roller-bladed down the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

6. You have gone to get crepes at Tandem. And you’ve Instagrammed a picture of your crepes from Tandem. If you go to Tandem and don’t post a picture, did you really go to Tandem?

7. You think Pretty Place is…well, the prettiest place ever.

8. You’ve tried to climb the roots on this tree.

9. Your summer nights are spent at Greenville Drive baseball games.

10. You’ve found the Mice on Main.

15. Whenever you go to another city, you’re disgusted at how bad their water tastes.

16. You’ve gone to see the lights at Roper Mountain around Christmastime.

17. You’ve gone to try to get a picture with a celebrity at the BMW Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Thornblade.

18. There’s a cute little coffee shop everywhere you look. There’s Due South, Methodical, The Village Grind, Spill the Beans, Coffee Underground, and many more.

19. You love when it’s time for the Greek Fest so you can get some good gyros and baklava.

20. You can’t wait to see all the new, exciting things happening in the best city in South Carolina (or the world for that matter!).

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
