It's almost that time of year again. The time where for one week kids go out, make bad decisions and good memories... or the other way around. Whatever way you look at it, Spring Break 2015 in right around the corner. 

Let's drop the sweet little angel act for a second. Everyone and their mother knows kids go on SB to party on the beach and get a little drunk. While going to bars and clubs are fun at night, the drink prices are way overpriced for small amounts of booze and lots of crappy nozzle-gun soda. It's easy just to throw a party at a house and make your own drink. No matter what you do this Spring, here are the tool 10 drinks for you to enjoy. 

10. The Classic Margarita.

Ingredients: 1/2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz triple sec, 1 squeezed lime, salt

How to Make; pour the tequila and triple sec into the shaker and mix for 25 seconds. Wet the glass slowly roll it through the salt before pouring in the Margarita. Perfect for just sitting around the pool while taking in the sun.   

9. The Blue Hawaiian.

Ingredients; 1 oz light rum, 2oz pineapple juice, 1oz blue curaçao,1 pineapple slice, 1 cherry

How to Make; Blend the booze on high for 1 minute before pouring into a high ball glass. Perfect for taking out to the beach on a hot day.   

8. Dark N' Stormy.

Ingredients; 3 oz dark rum, 3 oz ginger ale 

How to make; pour the rum first then the ginger ale into a high ball glass. Great for the guy who doesn't want to drink beer but still isn't down for drinking the girly drinks.

7. The Wake Up Bloody Mary.

Ingredients;  2 oz vodka, 4 oz tomato juice, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, 1 olive, 1 celery stalk

How to make; pour in the vodka then tomato juice. add 5 dabs of Tabasco sauce and 2 dabs of Worcestershire. Take a sword for the olive and stick the celery in on the side and call it a day. Perfect for an early morning drink to beat a hangover...trust me, you're gonna need it. 

6. Bahama Mama. 

Ingredients; 1 oz Kahlua, 1 oz light rum, 1/2 oz coconut flavored rum, 4oz pineapple juice.

How to Make; mix the booze and pineapple juice in a blender on  high for 30 seconds. Pour into a high ball glass with ice. A perfect drink before you go out to the bar.  

5. The Hurricane.

Ingredients; 1oz light rum, 1oz dark rum, 1oz 151 rum, 1oz grenadine, 3oz orange juice, 3oz pineapple juice,  

How to Make; combine everything in a shaker and mix for 30 seconds. Pour into a high ball glass and add a pineapple slice on the side. Perfect for any occasion and any person. Seriously, if you've ever been to New Orleans you've already had this drink

4. The Singapore Sling.

Ingredients; 2 oz gin, 1 oz brandy, 1 squeezed lime, 1/2 oz grenadine, 2oz club soda, 1 lemon wedge, 1 cherry. 

How to Make; Pour the liquor in first followed by the grenadine. Shake for 30 seconds before pouring in the club soda. mix for another 10 seconds before pouring and adding in the garnish. Perfect for the people who are cheap and want to get crazy for a low price   

3.  Planters Punch.

Ingredients; 3oz dark rum, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz grenadine, 2oz orange juice, 1oz club soda, 1 orange wedge.

How to Make; Pour everything into a shaker filled with ice and mix for 30 seconds. Strain before toping with an orange wedge. Perfect to make in a cooler and sharing with friends  

2. The Miami Beach Iced Tea.

Ingredients; 1 oz light rum, 1 oz gin, 1oz vodka, 1oz tequila, 1oz blue curaçao, 1 squeezed lemon, 2oz sprite, 1 lemon wedge.

How to Make; Mix all the booze and sprite before mixing for 30 seconds. Add in the blue and shake for another 10 seconds. Pour in a high ball glass and enjoy. Perfect for a drink before going out to save money.  

1. Beer.

     

Ingredients; No idea but you still drink it

How to Make; Get in a car with someone who has an ID, go to the nearest store, like any store. Buy it and pop the top. Perfect for anyone, anytime, anywhere and any reason.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
